About Us

Primary care and specialist dietitians in Sörmland are organized within a dietitian organization that belongs to the County Clinic Paramedicine Sörmland. Paramedicine consists of 300 employees, of whom approximately 45 are dietitians.

We work based on the principle that "quality comes before quantity." This means we strive to ensure patients receive the best possible care and nutritional treatment, guided by a clear prioritization order. The primary care unit and the specialist care unit each have their own dietitian manager with close collaboration, making us a strong dietitian organization. This also creates opportunities to evolve your role over time. Your direct supervisor is a registered dietitian.

You will sit at the dietitian unit together with 14 dietitian colleagues. You will have close collaboration with all dietitians in the region; there is always someone available to discuss with, both within and outside your treatment/diagnosis area.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a dietitian to work with specialized inpatient care at Mälarsjukhuset. We aim to develop the dietitian's role on the acute care ward, where the dietitian currently works only as a consultant. The role also includes work with other wards.

You will meet patients on the care wards and participate in rounds. You may be involved in the coordination when patients are discharged from the hospital. You prescribe enteral nutrition for inpatients and can recommend parenteral nutrition. You may also lead staff training sessions on the wards.

At the dietitian unit, there are assessment tools such as bioimpedance, where you can measure patients' body composition. This can serve as the basis for assessing malnutrition or the risk of malnutrition.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Within the dietitian unit, we work county-wide on routines, guidelines, patient materials, etc. Dietitians have access to nutrient calculation programs. Prescription of dietary supplements is done via the Mediq prescription portal.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered dietitian and who are eager to share your knowledge and receive knowledge from your colleagues. The work with patients is independent, so you need to feel confident planning and structuring your work on your own initiative. We value security in work and the group. Employment Type

Permanent employment. Start date by agreement. The degree of employment can be discussed if desired. We have routines for working from home.
